Sounds great. I bought one a month ago, and then I ordered two more last week. I want to try one with the MK IIC+ RI I ordered when it arrives. I am using one with my MK III++. For this type of sound, the PMEQ is better than any of the other parametric EQs I have tried, like the Empress Para EQ.

I don't know how anyone can stand to use any amp without parametric EQ in the loop...

I patched ch 1 out -> ch 2 in to make this rack unit a 1-channel 10-band fully parametric + 4-band semi-parametric.

Thanks.
Absolutely this one suit’s perfect with the Mark II/III/IV series. Earlier I used MXR M108 which was great but this one is something different. With these kind of tones it’s hard to beat understandably. After all it’s based on legendary Aphex EGF-2👍🏻

Parametric EQ? Fine for some people but show me one that has the versatility of a digital programmable 31 band EQ like the Alesis DEQ-830D. I way prefer 31 band graphic EQs like this. It's so easy to just see the EQ curve and adjust for a given sound.

Source Audio EQ2 pedal is digital with 2 channels of 10-band fully parametric plus HPF/LPF and shelving options. Channels 1 and 2 can be stacked to make it a 1-channel 20-band. You have to connect to a computer or phone app to adjust the frequencies and Q settings, but once presets are saved, you can adjust all gains from the pedal and access all 128 presets with MIDI (8 presets directly accessible on the pedal alone). The EQ curve is displayed in the app and can be adjusted by dragging the points of the curve, as well as gain sliders and entering in numerical values for frequency and Q.
Also has a gate, tuner, and limiter.
10 bands of parametric can do so much more than 31 bands of graphic, especially for guitar. Having the ability to select specific exact frequencies and adjust the Q is crucial for getting precision tone shaping. Especially with high gain tones where you need to cut very specific mid frequencies, but with narrower bandwidths so you don't scoop the whole midrange. And to cut those harsh resonant frequencies around 2160Hz with very narrow bandwidths so you don't darken the whole high end.
The fixed bandwidths of graphic EQs are typically quite wide, and cutting just one mid frequency gives you that scooped hi-fi sound. With parametric, I can cut 6 different mid frequencies with narrow bandwidths and have a scooped-ish heavy tone, but with enough mids still present that it sounds right in a mix.
Parametric EQ is precision tone shaping with surgical precision. Graphic EQ is like chopping at your tone with an axe.
