Hi,
First time post and a rank amateur with amp repairs.
I've had my HB combo for 20 years and I love it, it's a great clean amp, although heavy! I've never had any probs with it and have changed the tubes twice in that time.
I don't gig regularly anymore, with just the odd gig here and there, so the HB doesn't get out much.
During my last gig I lost volume for about 5-10 seconds (right in the middle of a solo!!!), but eventually the sound came back on, much to my relief.
However today, whilst playing it at home I the volume started to drop - it would fluctuate/then stabilize/then fluctuate, and finally I've lost total volume from the amp.
I eyeballed the tubes and they appear to be OK, no flaring and all tubes ON. (Guitar and cables etc are fine, I have tried multiple guitars and cables)
Could this be a simple tube problem or something more severe?
I would greatly appreciate any advice from the experts on this forum.
Cheers,
Rod
