Mesa Boogie Mark I

Hey everyone!

I'm new to the board and am wondering what everyone thinks of the Mark I reissue. I'm thinking of picking one up. Anyways, how is the sound of the Mark I RI? I'd be using it more for distorted tones then clean tones (but not for metal).

PS - My fav guitarist is Mick Jones of The Clash. I know he used Mesa Boogie amps. Does anyone know what model he used? Also, didn't Pete Townshend use a Mark I for a bit?

GC near me has a used one (for$1050) I played it today(1st time I played a MKI) I loved it! I think you could easily get up to at least old school metal out of it. I believe Townsend used MKII's(not sure which version) So did Keith Richards(check out "Hail Hail Rock'n'Roll")
