Hey there,

New to the forum and Mesa/Boogie. Picked up the F -30 head running it through a 1 by 12 cab With an EV speaker. Just wondering what the word is on these amps, lots on the F50. I was re4ally impressed with the clean channel. The drive channel is cool and the contour is even cooler. This things is loud, haven't jammed with it yet. I play a New American made strat with delta tone Pu's. Was thinking of putting a lil 59 in the bridge but the SC sounds pretty good with lots of gain to spare through this beast.

Love Hendrix SRV Early ZZ Top, Early Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton, GNR, Sabbath etc. Just looking for tips on setting from exp users.

Thanks in advance,
Nick..

These settings were derived for the F-50/100, but should still be a starting point for you:

an excellent amp. very marshall sounding due to the el84's.
thanks for the tone settings hal. i got one on order, ill keep em handy.
this thing is LOUD. wide open it probably pushes closer to 60 or 70 watts.
i going to run my combo thru a 4x12 mainly, then use the internal
speaker for traveling.
ive seen a schematic and theyre built very well. its too bad
mesa does such good work cause mines expected in like 2 months!!

Thanks much for the setting, some things I didn't think of yet.
Still undecided about whether or not to put a mini hum in the bridge.
Suggestions!??

Nick
