kind of an odd speaker to me.It seems very fuzzy at low volumes,but gets real juicey and rich when you drive it hard.The drawback of driving it hard is it gets mushy on the bass.I've got it in a Dc 3 combo,but have sense replaced it with a Peavey Scorpion(which I love).I put the Black shadow into a sealed back cab and seems pretty good in that app.

I love the Scorpion, too. I put one in a homebrew thiele cab and it rocks.
 
yeah,to me it's a real sleeper.The thing just sounds good,and can handle everything the DC 3 can dish out.
