Saw the Mark V link in that thread. Just looking at their website they also announced an ElectraDyne. Single channel "brit-voiced" amp.

I loaded the Mark V page and was starting to drool...until my eyes saw the parallel loop; that's a deal breaker. Looking at the Elctra-Dyne I saw it has a series loop...so after all of the hype about the Mark V (I'm sure it's awesome), to me that series loop make the Electra-Dyne a much more attractive amp than the Mark V; speaking from someone who uses delay 80% of the time.

Edit: Apparently the Mark V's effects level isn't for mixing? I would think it would be labeled better like "effects gain" or something..if that's true, I recant my stance..the Mark V looks aweseome

i'm really looking forward to this ... i hope price wont be a deal breaker for me :)

Plus you'll see in pics the Mark V has a wet/dry mix pot. Crank the mix level to 100% and it should operate just like a Series Loop. But we'd need to read reviews on it to make sure.

Looks an incredible amp in the specs. I'm keen to see reviews on it and get price listings in Australia. Hope it's not around the absurd $A5000 Mesa charge for Recto's here.

I'm really excited about this Electra-dyne wonder if you can get a plexi sound with it? Hoping anyway. 8)

I saw this too. It's cool that Mesa is offering something a little different than their usual.

It's funny... the Mark V does nothing for me. But the Electradyne... now THAT looks cool!

I wonder if you could get some classic Metallica or Megadeth tones out of the Electra-Dyne. Wasn't Kill 'em All done with modified JMPs or JCMs or something like that?

I want a Mark V like I wanted to lose my virginity when I was a teenager. I want it that bad.
Sadly, work's looking scary so it almost certainly going to be awhile...

The Electra-Dyne does look like a cool amp, though it does remind me of a Marshall.
