Guys, I've done something stupid. I was carrying my 50/50 up to my other room when I dropped it on my foot. Can't believe how heavy the 50/50 is! Now, I've got a fracture on my foot and one of the channels seems to be messed up - I don't know what to be more upset about!
The amp started making fizzing/popping/spluttering noises and started picking up radio signals, and had a new hum to it. I thought the tubes must have been messed up so changed ALL the tubes with new JJ's, that seems to have fixed some of the hum and spluttering. The right channel seems reasonably OK, but the left is not really working. The volume is really low - barely audible, and there is plenty of hiss and spluttering. The volume pots seem OK, I cant see any visible damage to the circuit board and I cant see anything that might have come loose.
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know how I can troubleshoot what could be causing the problem? Any ideas would be really appreciated.
Cheers.
