My mark iv will be arriving next week. Does anybody know how many watts is the mark iv rated?... will a 1000 watts avr w/ time delay will do? Thanks peeps

Hey,

The mark IV is 85 watts and probably 117 volts. Is that 1000 watt avr a rack voltage regulator? it might be a tad overkill. You could be better served by getting a furman or a monster power line conditioner. something like the furman PL Plus.

Overkill? True, unless you are also running a mondo rack or a whole room full of rig/amps off one regulator unit...but still, a PL Plus or Monster Conditioner would work fine for just a single Mark IV and some other stuff like effects, etc.

I've run 3 amps, my effects chain and the studio computer rig off my PL Plus with zero noise one day just because we ran out of sockets and it didn't even barely clipped into the yellow. I'd say it's a good investment for the money.

there is that, maybe he has a sh!t-ton(thank you kenny powers) of gear, maybe not. he asked only about the mark IV so based on that, I was thinking it was a bit much.

Thanks for the reply guys.. i'll only be connection a nova system, dunlop 535q, volume pedal, voodoo labs amp switcher and my mark iv. So a 500watts avr will do?.. thanks guys
