I promised myself 2025 was going to be a year of declutter. Sadly, this means turning off my boogie hoarding switch and letting go of some excellent gear.

Starting with my IIC+/IIC++ SRGX head.

• IIC+ / IIC++
• SRGX
• Short head
• Fully serviced, recapped, rebuilt and modded by Mike B in Nov 2023

Mods included:

• ++ mid pot switchable and footswitchable
• Triode / Pentode switch
• R2 volume Mod
• Export switchable voltage

This amp was originally a IIC SRG. Modded to c+ by Mike b sometime in the 80s (I assume in 1984/85 when a small number of spare RP11 preamp boards were still in possession. I sent it to Mike in 2023 for the above mods. Currently fitted with Aus plug.

The switchable ++ essentially turns the amp into a 4 channel amp:

• Clean: + Rhythm
• Dirty Clean: ++ Rhythm
• Heavy: + Lead
• Lead: ++ Lead

As I wanted the ++ footswitchable, Mike recommended the R2 mod to be able to lower the volume of the ++ Rhythm channel which by default is around 26db higher in volume than c+ Rhythm. This allows you to balance the volume when switching to ++ Rhythm.

S c+s are very aggressive. This one is no exception. When I asked Mike how it sounded after the mod his response was “Bold and frightening”

Willing to ship global. Will come in an original Mesa black head but I also have rackmount if you prefer.

One of the greatest amps I’ve played. C++ adds gain, saturation, body and a bit of chunk in the lead tone. It also adjusts the EQ somewhat and changes the way the tone stack responds. The tone is tight, mean, liquid and harmonically rich. If you prefer slightly less saturation and more clarity, you have the option to use the + channel. Both channels sound killer.

Will be sad to let it go.
