I'm not getting the tone I want from my Mark V ??? I love my Lonestar Special. Is there a way of putting EL84 tubes in my Mark V. Would yellowjackets allow me to make the switch? HELP.

You can do EL-34's, not sure about the 84's though.

But I did find this on TGP

So the list is ....
6L6
KT66
5881
EL34
KT77
6CA7
6V6 Tweed Power
EL84 Yellow Jacket

How it all work specifically I don't know. I really want to try some 6V6's.

If you try yellow jackets make sure to do them on the inside tubes because those are the ones that run in class AB. (Right? It's the inside ones that are class AB, right?) That means that the other tubes would have to be some sort of 8 pin running in class A, but I think it would depend on what kind of other tubes you chose. I think mixing certain tube types can mess with the output transformer. I really don't know. Someone feel free to correct me. Just stick with EL34's instead. No confusion and you can chose class A or class AB instead of just having class A.

From the manual page 30 :

"The 90 W position (toggle up) is our patented Simul-Class™ scheme and it delivers the most power with 90 watts of clean, sweet and yet bold power and headroom. In this position all four output tubes are on-line and two different classes of operation are being run simultaneously to create the most musical “hundred watt” output stage in the business. The outside pair (second from far left and the far right) are wired to Class AB and are running cooler - while at the same time creating the bulk of the horsepower. This modern way of running tubes is more efficient and produces the greatest power with the least heat.
The inside pair of tubes run in “extended Class A” with their reduced bias and are “more on” all the time, whether there is signal present
or they are at rest (when you aren’t playing). This wiring and bias style puts out less power and creates more heat, but in trade for the lack of efficiency, it features a much smoother clip characteristic and a smoother, warmer sound… especially at the onset of clip where the harsher transients can become unpleasant in a Class AB output section. Simul-Class™ takes care of all that and smooths out the rough edges and re-voices the highs - leaving you with a sweet musical clip in the transition zone and yet plenty of power and headroom. The 90 W (Simul-Class™) position is the way to go for most live performance situations where you need headroom for clean chording and tight articulate low end for crunch rhythm along with a sweet, vocal voice with authority for soloing."

You might could get away with yellow jaxkets in the outer left and outer right power tube sockets. But I would leave the inner pair as EL-34's or 6L6's. The 10 watt mode may again be the fly in the ointment for this combination. You should be fine in the 45 or 90 watt modes. You could call MESA about this idea, but I bet I know what answer you will get.

personally, I would try putting in tung sol preamp tubes. they give the chimiest, cleanest finest sweet clean sounds and perfect heavies. I tried el34's seperately with the original tubes and they are an improvement if you like 34's but both 6l6's and 34's are great.

Oh yeah, the other thing I should mention is that I use emgs and a marshall 1960 cab.

Well, there's the THD yellowjacket that allows you to use EL-84 at a reduced power output. Work great with my UniValve but there is only one power tube in that case. My real question is : if you buy a matched set of EL-84 will they remained matched using yellowjacket adaptors? I'm not tube guru so can't answer that.
