Hello Guys,

I found a nice deal on an old Mesa Thiele Compact with EVM-12L.
My question is.
Is it possible to "sit" the Mark V on top of it?

My best regards.

If the Mark feet don't fit on top of the cab I'm guessing it does matter because (correct me if I'm wrong) the reverb tank is recessed (is this the word?).

I've set 22 7/8" Mesa heads on 19" Mesa cabs before. Unless the Mark V feet are spaced wider than Mark IV feet (and I can't see why they would be), the feet will sit on top of the cab.

here is a photo I have on file

it fits once you dick around with it-the inner edges of the feet can be balanced on the edge of thiele-it is stable, just looks a little fonky

Actually no problem
But never tried it loud

loud??or live?? I have both, and I will echo what Roland says...no problem

I would GUESS that if you run it flat out the speaker cab vibration may make the head move.At sound levels till bar gigs it never happened though

I did bought the cab. It's a Mesa Thiele open back with a Black Shadow EVM-12L.
I didn't even knew that existed an open compact thiele?!?! weird.
I'm really bad at this and i only had like 5 minutes with it but it seemed impossible to sit the Mark V on top of it. And the reverb tank was in contact with the handle (is this the right word?) on top of the cab.

You should be able to push the handle down.If not enough, taller rubber feet (they are just scew on) may help.On mine it worked seamless

Also on my new one which resides in the living room-->handle gets fully flat it pushed down
