The footswitch for the Mark V rocks, the only problem I have is that the EQ won't engage/disengage when I stomp (I even read my manual :? ). Everything else on the amp works great. Has anyone run into this before?

did you check the EQ switch in the channels? Must be switched to EQ FS

The cable and/or the the jack that connects to the footswitch is the most likely culprit assuming the switches are in the right spot. I have a similar problem with the EQ in out on mine. If I wiggle the connector around where it attaches to the footswitch a bit eventually it works but it's intermittent. I almost never turn the EQ off though so I've never bothered ti fix it properly.

daverose, right on! My toddler stands on my pedal as I am playing and knocks the jack out when he stands on that. One of the pins needed to be straightened and then the connection had to be nearly forced in and the EQ started working again. Thanks!

I was having a problem where the EQ light would come on the footswitch if the channel had the EQ switch set to ON but you could not engage the EQ from the footswitch if the CH was to EQ FS. It was fixed by removing the footswitchcord from the amp and re-inserting it. Made a better contact I guess and now works. Is that particular feature using the ring in the cable, not one of the pins?
