Hey guys, just thought it would be cool to share my cover of Wish You Were Here by Incubus. I recorded it with my Mesa Mark V, 2011 PRS Custom 24, and a SM58 miked up. Let me know what you think. Constructive criticism/appreciation...appreciated!

thanks! I'll just state the o'clock positions of each knob.

Channel 3
Mark IIC+ Mode
Triode 45w
Bright mode On
Volume around 10:00-11:00
Gain 1:00
Master 9:30
Presence 10:00
Treble 1:00
Mid 11:00
Bass 10:00

EQ Sliders ON

80hz right under top line
240hz in between top and middle line
750hz slightly below halfway between middle and bottom line
2200hz slightly below halfway between top and middle line
6600hz right above middle line

Thats for the chorus' tone. The intro and bridge use Channel 2 Crunch mode with no EQ engaged and low gain, around 10:30.

My tubes arent stock, preamp and power amp, but It shouldnt matter, just letting you know. The volume has to be up a little in order to get that awesome in your face hard rock tone. Rock on dude!

Not bad a'tall. We cover this song in my band....Only problem is (unless you are doing it on purpose)you are playing the intro/chorus chord progression slightly wrong....

have a look at this http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/i/incubus/i_wish_you_were_here_ver2_tab.htm

One of these days I'm gonna buy a tripod so I can record some of our set and show off my V, lol :D

I'm aware I'm playing it slightly differently, but thanks for pointing it out in case I didn't know :) Definitely get a tripod, I have a really ****** $30 Dynex tripod that I really should upgrade, considering my camera is rather expensive, and if it fell, well....I'd probably be crying lol. Show off your beautiful Mark V!

@ jb's 52: thank you man, I appreciate it!

amazing, I'm gonna try it out.. of course, the major difference will be the guitar/cab, but, have you noticed any day/night difference when changing tubes?

there isnt a gigantic difference when changing tubes, but I definitely can tell an improvement that I enjoy and love. It's not day and night though.
