I can't seem to dial in a good lead tone (lead channel), that sounds really great and chunky for heavier music. Not quite metal, but with some chugga-chugga.

I have tried most of the settings in the database.
Almost all of them have the GEQ in a super V shape, which just sounds fake as **** to me. It sounds like I'm using a BBE or something.

Can some of you guys share your metal rhythm & lead settings with me?
I play both in my band and need to be able to cover a lot of ground.

On the upside, I have the clean and even R2 (bluesy crunchy tones) sounding really good. I just can't seem to bond with the Lead channel.

These should get you in the right direction:

I run a TS808 in front (tone at noon, level cranked and drive at 0) that helps tighten up the low end. It took me weeks to get to where I'm at now but I'm happy. The 808 made all the difference up front.
