I have the widebody combo with the stock C90. Since I am 6'5" I cannot have the amp on the ground as the dial markings are not visbile at that angle. As a result, I bought an amp stand that gets it up about 15" with a slight recline. That makes adjusting the amp far easier.

On the downside, the sound carries far more of the upper frequencies which are mostly coming right at my ears.

I have thought about changing the C-90 to something that might have a slightly darker/warmer sound. Also, i thought about getting an extension cab but do not know which one would work best with the amp. The Theile is appealing, but I have no idea how you use that cab in conjunction with a widebody combo. I wonder how a Stiletto or Rec 2x12 cab would sound?

Any thoughts?

I hear people talk about the Sound Enhancer - http://www.soundenhancer.com/

I've never seen or tried one in person though.

It would both angle the amp up at you somewhat and enhance frequencies as well.

Might want to try a "Beam Blocker"

They really work well I have a few, I have one on a Peavey Classic 30 (combo) and I use to use one on my MarkIV combo loaded at the time with a V30. But my IV is once again back in its headshell.

A buddy of mine has the big sound enhancer and I have heard it with a number of different amps.

It tilts the amp back some and adds a good bit of deep bass (not too much though). The sound coming from the back of the amp is redirected through a port out the front. It makes a small amp sound big.
