Hey :D

A few days ago I was trying to dial in some tones and decided to see which tubes were in my Mark IV. I noticed that I have two 6L6 STR 430's in the outter sockets and two 6L6 STR 420's in the inner sockets. Would reversing the position of the tubes cause a noticeable change in tone? Should I take any precautions when making the change? This is my first tube amp so please be as detailed as possible in your replies

yeah, but i wouldn't..

Str 420's are great sounding tubes but are pretty poorly built so they don't like being in hot running amp's or the outer pair of simlu class ( the a class pair ) Because they burn up and die..keep them where they are and you will be fine..
