This is an LP running into R1 with a fuzz pedal on it.

Nasty yet sweet and fat.. my new favorite fuzz

Plat... I'm sorry, I didn't care for the tone. Or maybe I don't understand the reason behind fuzz pedals, but I find it interesting that you ditched the Recto to make you Mark sound more buzzy/fuzzy than a recto. I really liked the riff-age and the recording sounds great.

Thanks for sharing.

You bring up a good point, however I'm obsessed with fuzz textures and it's not something I use even 80% of the time I play... which is strange because I have 4 different fuzz pedals lol. Every now and then it's fun to bust out some nasty fuzzy riffage for a change of pace from my normal tones. I actually made this to demo the pedal for another site but I figured I'd toss it up here too.

edit: also thanks for being the first person out of 42 people to comment after viewing :D

so did you set the amp very clean and then hit it with a fuzzed out tone? i've found that i prefer an amp sound slightly breaking up combined with a fuzz pedal with the gain not so high. almost like an overdrive pushing it over the edge. it sounds less splatty and harsh, at least when i've tried it. but some might like to hear more of the pedal sound instead. different textures i suppose.

You're right, I have R1 set for squeaky clean. I too like driving a slightly driven channel with a fuzz for less high end fizz but I also the former as well. Depends on the mood I'm in :D

I liked the riff a lot! I think the guitar could use a little verb and it's way too up front in the mix - I think if you lowered it in the mix and let the drums come out more it would sound way thicker. Not sure if that makes sense or not....

Interesting tone! I'm not a fan of fuzz unless you consider the Led Zeppelin song with the octave fuzz in it. That's pretty sweet. Good job though. You can tell it is a Mark even through the fuzz pedal...

Thanks for the suggestions, on second listen I agree that the drums are too quiet. I need a good way to get convincing bass too.
