Mark IV + Rectifier 2x12 cab - sound quality when both playe

I know (at least I think I know) you can run both the combo speaker and the 2x12 through the 4 ohm speaker inputs simultaneously.

Can anyone who has done this comment on the sound and tonal quality?

Mesa recommends that you use both 4 ohms outputs at the same time, because its just the same as the 8ohm output, but split in half.

If your combo speaker is 8ohm, and your 2x12 is total 8 ohms (two 16ohm in parallel, or two 4ohm in series) is ok.

I use it from time to time, it's a great solution!

I run my MK IV to the speaker in the combo and a 4x12. The speaker and the 4x12 are both 8 ohms each. I use the two 4 ohm outputs. Sounds great.
