Because Metal Players use more gain, and my problem is that my tone seems to change especially a decrease in gain. Basically what I do now is fiddle around until I get a different metal setting and it sounds much better cause everytime I keep the same setting it's never the same the next day which is most likely due to my mood and how the tubes heat up everyday.
