A few days ago my footswitch started acting weird. The Lead, LD-EQ and Loop buttons work fine. But the Rhy 1 and Rhy 2 buttons are switching between Lead and LD-EQ. It's really weird. Any clue what could be causing this?

Just out of no where? If there was nothing when you activated R1 or R2 then it's the footswitch, but the fact that a message is getting through to the head and then switching between L and LEQ is the result, it could mean you head is screwy. When I first bought my Mark IV it was a steal because something was wrong in the head that stopped the footswitch from working all together. When I took it in, all it needed was a good cleaning, but it was like $100 to fix.

That's all I got.

I tried it again and now it works?!?

Did you unplug the footswitch then plug it back in? While not the case on my Mark IV, I had a similar problem with my old Peavey Triple XXX head. The Ultra/Crunch and Clean buttons were acting up, and pressing one seemed to do exactly what the other button should have done. I unplugged it, cleaned the contacts with a slightly damp cloth then plugged it back in and everything seemed to be back to normal. No idea if you did something similar but if it happens again, try that.

Sometimes the prongs that are in your amp get bent, and connections aren't made, I had the same thing happen. So make sure the prongs where your footswitch plugs into are as straight as possible.
