Are you asking if the M IV is a good base to layer effects around?

no i just want to know if the MIV can handle funk based music with the cleans and how well it reacts to wahs and stuff.

Yes, and exceptionally well. I know from experience. You can get tons of spank from the clean channel, but still dial in just the right amount of low end to make those chords sound full. I find the Mark IV front end takes pedals very well, even wahs and overdrives.

yeah there great..i set the first channel as a ultra clean spank..2nd as a clean with a tiny bit of dirt..and third as sweet gain...
