mark III vs. Quad & 50/50

I'm thinking of selling my mark III in favor of a Quad preamp and a 50/50. what do you guys think are the pros/cons to both? I am especially interested in hearing from present and former quad owners.

I have owned both the Mark III and the Quad. I was able to A/B both amps and liked the Mark III better. It is was a little tighter and cut through slightly better to my ears but it was fairly close. I believe I was using the Quad with the 295 Simul-Clas amp at the time. You can't go wrong either way and I loved the footswitch layout of the Quad.
