Mark III Rhythm 2 Channel

Okay so I run this amp in stereo with an AC30 and have had the worse time getting a tone I like out of it. Yesterday I decided to try it in rhythm 2 channel with my pedals and holy crap it sounded so much better than the clean channel with my pedals.

Agreed. I use an Arbiter Fuzz Face, and a Bad Monkey, and both sound much thicker in Rhy 2 vs the clean. They also both sound pretty great over my lead channel, if I really want to blow things up at lower volumes. I used to use my Fuzz at gigs off my lead channel for massive thick sustain, and instant feedback.
