Up for sale is my 1987 Mark III red stripe with 4x12 cabinet. Amp is in very good condition for its age. All knobs, push/pulls, graphic eq, etc work as they should. Amp currently has winged "C" 6l6's inside with some old looking Tesla El34s in the outside position. I have some extra 6l6s I'll throw in(not winged "c") but I always preferred the punchy sound of the 34s. I will also include some extra pre-amp tubes.
I used to play almost exclusively metal with this Amp and I still consider it superior to all others with the exception of the IIc+, to which I consider it an equal. I've played dual and triple rectos, Mark IIs, a IIc+, Mark IVs etc etc, and I think the Mark III is the most aggressive while still being articulate. With that being said I used it as a 2 channel Amp some of the time and usually only one. But if you're looking at this you are probably aware of the amps limitations.
The Amp has been doing nothing but sitting for the last 10 years as I now have other interests. I actually don't even listen to metal anymore.
There is a small blemish in the grill of the Amp directly to the right of the Boogie emblem which is more pronounced in the pictures than in person. Other than that the head is very nice. The cabinet looks to have had a slightly rougher life, but most of the blemishes are on the back. I tried to show them in the pictures.
Local pickup only in central Indiana. $2500 Cash only. I would consider meeting the buyer a few hours away. I'm not great with phones but I encourage potential buyers to call me so we can talk more about it and maybe figure out how to do a face time or video clip of the Amp in action( pm me for phone #).
Thank you
