Hey folks, so I have a Mesa Mark III combo green stripe and an Axe FX Ultra. I was wondering if there exist instructions to convert Mark III combo into a rackmount. How do I do this?
Also, what is the rack size of Mark III? So, what rack size overall woudl I need to fit both of these devices?

Thanks!

Mesa sells a rack adapter kit on their website:
http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/kit-rksl.html
... But you can often find them cheaper ($70-$80) on eBay, etc.
The Mesa would be four spaces, and I think the Axe FX is, what, two spaces?

Ah cool, I see that looks wicked.
How does the unscrewing work though? Do I just take the amp out w/ the reverb tank and fan and put it in?

The adapter kit comes in four pieces - two sides, the front plate with the logo, and the top.
Screw the sides to the front, put in the chassis, then the top plate.
Remove all of the tubes before you do anything else. Make note of which socket they will go back into.
There's a place for the fan on the front plate, but unfortunately, no place for the reverb tank.
You'll have to find a spot for it in the bottom of whatever case you put the assembled chassis/adapter in. You really need a six space rack case for that.

Four spaces!!! (I actually acquired this rack kit and 4 space SKB in trade for the combo shell I originally bought my Mark III in. Now he has a 50 Caliber + combo and I have a rackmount Mark III.)
