My Mark III (Purple) has arrived back from Mesa after a month.

General Service and Repairs, caps, resistors, etc.

R2 Mod, Reverb Glitch Mod

New power cord, new backside power outlet.

Here are the before and after gut shots, as well as the chassis back in the combo.

I remember you posting the original pics when you first got it thinking "man, what a mess..." I'm glad she's all sorted proper now though! The big question now is...how does it sound??
 
Strictly for educational purposes. I noticed the original 1k CC Resistor was changed to a 5.6K black resistor. The after service picture that is in focus, located near the lowest 30uf 500V Cap. Anyone know why the value was changed, and would changing the 1k CC next to it with the same value be prudent?

Yes, it would lower the B+ voltage to the preamp sections following it.
