Mark III Blue Stripes what years?

What years were these made?

I think around 88-89 or so. Maybe even 87, because I´ve seen some blue stripes with serial# not much higher than mine.
My red stripe was made in march 87 and the serial is around 19200.
And I think then green stripe came out in late 89 or early 90.
But there seems to have been some overlapping between the various stripes, so it´s hard to say for sure.

OK so here is maybe an even easier question. What year did they start making the Mark III and what year did they stop?

the first mk III was in mid 1985 and the last was in 1996..

My MKIII blue stripe is dated '86...

An 86 blue stripe? That´s a bit weird.

An 86 Mark III should be either a purple or red stripe. It might have been modded at a later date to a blue stripe.

What´s your serial#?

Shep and I figured out that Green Stripe was a Simul-only thing and if you had a 60 or a 60/100 after Green was introduced, you'd still have a blue.

My 1994 Mark III is a Blue Stripe. Serial 279XX
