Playing around with the presence and reverb settings I recognized that my Blue Stripe Mark III has a second "Blue Stripe" made of duct-tape (power tape,..) on the left side of the 'direct out'. Also there is something like initials/letters under the power cable slot, which with a certain degree of imagination could be "M.B.".

Is this normal or a hint for mods/special features inside the Mark III?

Thanks a lot!
:)

I think your best bet is to call mesa and ask them, they just MIGHT know, but it's not guaranteed since the amp is pretty old.

Generally the initials M.B. are under the power cable. If Mike B. does a mod their is a 99% probability that he would label it
with a Dymo label. The tape could just notate to a roadie that it's the slave/direct out for a power amp or PA hookup. I've seen
some amps that had enough notes on the back for a small novel.
