Mark IIC+ w/o eq ... suggestions?

Hi!
I've the possibility to buy a IIC+ monster,long head w reverb but it hasn't the built-in Eq.
In your experience, is pretty the same to use an external eq?
And, which is for you the best? MXR 108, Bos GE7 or GE20?
Unfortunately. I can't send to Mesa the amp for the mod, I'm in Europe....

It depends on what kind of music you're wanting to play...if you want to get mid-scooped metal tones, you may find it difficult without being able to set the graphic EQ to the 'classic V' position. However, my setup is a Studio Preamp into a Simul 395 and therefore fairly similar to a IIC+, and I don't even use my EQ. I get exactly the tone I want with just the regular tone stack--clear undistorted cleans on the rhythm mode and fat hard rock crunch on the lead mode.

You will not regret.

You are free to ship the amp to mesa anytime, it's just that it's gonna cost you. and you'll have to accept a mark III faceplate.
