Mark IIC- or Mark IIC+

New to the boards, so hello! I own a Mark IV and love it.

Here is my question,

My friend has a mark IIc something. What is the best way to find out which it is?

Here is the serial number: 11812

Look at the back of the chassis by the AC cord.If it is a C+ it will have a + and the initials MB in magic marker,not a foolproof way to tell for sure but if it is a c+ it will be there.There are other ways to be certain,I am sure someone will post the other clues,I am not certain so I dont want to talk out of turn and give you the wrong info.I only know mine is for sure because I personally know the guy I got it from bought it new from Mesa back in 83 or 84.

Unless it's been modded, it's a IIC. The + starts at about serial number 12500. I think they still do the + mod at Mesa Boogie for a few hundred bucks

I have one in now getting this done. $300.00 is what was quoted to me.
