ok...last comment...if you were a collector........you would know what you were looking at without me telling you or someone else.that's what collectors do...they collect....they know what they are looking for and if it is what they want or not, they don't need me or you or a forum to tell them what they are collecting. if they do they need to start collecting something else. as far as my listing being misleading, if you were an interested buyer your concern would be understandable...are you people the boogie police trying to save the world one amp at a time?see now you guys have dragged me into doing what you do...talk about stuff that doesn't matter.......this is stupid...i'm done

Yah Yah, but what if you are not a collector? Don't those guys deserve to be informed. What do you have against full disclosure anyway? I can tell you that I wouldn't knowingly do business with anyone I knew who felt it was OK to omit or mislead. Hint, hint.

just wondering, don't you guys have anything better to do?...from the guy selling the MARK IIC CONVERTED TO MARKIIC+ ON EBAY...YES I AM ON THE BOARD TO...AND YES IT IS STILL A IIC+ EVEN AFTER SN#'S.. DARK PICS ...CORVETTES...AND EVEN AFTER PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN TALK ABOUT AMPS THAT THEY SHOULD PROBABLY BE PRACTICING ON.

Errr? SHOULD'T YOU BE PRACTICING?

Was I the only one to see the "addendum" to the ebay listing ?
(since removed)
Yikes ! :!:

That's funny. I was legitimately interested until this guy came in and told everybody off.

I say keep it up, boogie boarders. This is a great resource for me as far as learning about amps, finding deals and even sharing warnings about seemingly sketchy sales. I don't see the harm in the dissemination of information. If everyone has a voice, then the more people are talking and sharing what they know, the better.

I dunno if I'll bid on it now that I think about it. A lot of you guys say the Mark III is a good amplifier. I'd like to save some cash and try one of those. A MKIII sold off ebay for $550 yesterday, I missed it by only a couple hrs. Dammit! lol

Yeah. With 0 feedback (2 positive, 2 negative) and NO paypal coverage, i bet people can't wait to bid on it!

Straight from the man that made the C+: "When I upgrade a MkIIC to a C+, the preamp is just the same as if it was made back in '84." The thing to note is that the power transformer and the front panel EQ switch will likely be the difference, if any. The IIC will either have the "100", "105"(late IIC), or "X101" power transformer. By the time that the production C+ amp was being made, the "100" was being phased out, so I'm told.
The EQ switch went from a 2-way to a 3-way some time during the "IIC" production, or so I have seen. Should the amp in question have been disclosed as a upgraded "C". Probably. Will this amp sound as good as my "serial # correct" amp. Probably. Ask any of the board members that own upgraded IIC's if thier amp sounds good. From a collector standpoint, the serial #'s are very important. From a player's standpoint, they are not as crucial. The numbers matching amps will bring more money, just because. But don't let a good deal pass you by on an upgraded "C", if the price is right. 8)
