I'm lucky enough to have purchased a 1981 Coliseum Mark IIB 'long' head- with both the reverb and EQ options already installed. When I bought it, both the reverb tank and wiring were long gone, but after some sleuthing (MANY thanks to George), I now have everything in, but still have a quandry. The reverb jacks on the bottom of my Coliseum's chassis are both color coded AND different heights, however I hear that it's not necessary to match the wires to the jacks on the chassis, as long as the black goes to the output on the tank and the white goes to the input on the tank. My question is "IS it necessary to match the wiring to the jacks on the chassis end of the wiring harness with the jacks on the tank end of the harness?" What's the general concensus or, better yet- the correct answer?
