I'd like to do away with power cords on some old marks. Has anyone done the conversion?

It seems the earliest IIB's I have used crummy power cords that you often see taped up because the insulation peels off. These coli's and likely any 15" have round stamped chassis donor holes so those might be more a challenge to find an insert and may need a flange if one can be found.

Ideally I'd like a C14 connection since I have enough cords to last 8 lifetimes. The C14 standard mounting holes width seems to be 40mm (1.57") and I've not yet found the 1.75" wide flange holes needed to match the mesa mount holes. I don't want to drill the chassis without the ability to do a clean stamp hole for the jack.

The donor hole is the auxiliary power outlet. Any help is appreciated and if you've done something other than a C14 connector I'd like to see it. An extensive search through Mouser came up empty on 1.75" mounting.

My initial sampling is a couple very early IIB coli's that have the round hole, about 1 3/16" wide, a early long chassis Mark IV-A and a mid-run IIB which is my only short chassis IIB. Both the later use square type aux outlets about 1" to 1-1/16" wide. These initial amps I've looked at all have 1-3/4" wide mounting holes, obviously a chassis standard for at least a decade.

For a square stamped chassis Mesa sells a snap in for one of the rectos that would be worth trying and there are plenty of snap in's out there for 15A rating style (C14). Those may be a universal size- I haven't looked yet.
