Well the title says it all, i don't know if this question have been allready asked before but read somewhere that it was possible to made a roadking sound pretty close to a mark ii c+. It's been 2 weeks now that i'm trying to get "Master of Puppet " sound on my RK2 but didn't get great result!

I's there anybody thar heard something about this?

Very interesting question...The good fella BoogieBabies says it's possible to get really close to IIC+ tone.. Honestly I don't believe it  I have to try the road'kin' me good self at least!
I'm pretty sure you can not pull out smooth Petrucci lead tones (scenes-from-a-memory-2) out of the Roadking...but maybe I'm wrong! Who knows!

I got close to a "Master of Puppets" sound. I wrote it on a piece of paper and I lost it...Sorry. I do remember it was on Channel 4 Modern with Diode selected.

My guess would be to start with the Vintage mode and go easy on the Treble and presence. That'd be a start.

I have 2 different mk2c+ settings for the RK. One sounds like the Petrucci tone from 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulence, and the other sounds more like Metallica stuff. I'll post the settings later since I'm not near my amp right now.

By the way, Petrucci used a Dual Rectifier and a 2c+ on SFAM, so you should naturally be able to nail some of his SFAM tones if you have a RK.

In other news,
If you are a JP fan, you might want to read this interview:

Here are the link for the Puppets and Justice settings during recording of the albums back then.

There is the settings for the amps. Cirkeled means pulled:
