Mark 1 reissue hardewood..new amp day

I got this little beast this week and fell right in love with the clean channel. But the dirty channel is a vit fuzzy to what i am uses to. I have been playing plexi type amps for so long..hard to give away the tightness of tha tone. I was wondering if any one had tried it with EL34's instead of the stock 6l6?..or if there a mod out there to make it more tight?....
