I know, I know... buy a mark4!

I recently piked up a Triple Rec solo head for the studio. But I really loved the sound of the Mark4 had recently had in the studio. No im not going to buy a mark4, not right now anyway.

What can I do to get my triple rec to sound more like a mark4
Tubes, settings, mods. There are a lot of options on the rectifier, how can we tweak it?

external equalizer.
I use an alesis midi graphic programable eq.

I had a 2 channel Triple rectifier, and feel as if I have walked 10 miles in your shoes. I have never played a three channel, but try the red to vintage channel cloning, tube rectifier, and spongy. The external EQ and OD pedals are some excellent suggetions also. I also used an Alesis 3630 compressor/gate to help out. I eventually gave in, sold the Recto for a profit :D , and bought a MkIIC+. I wish that I had bought the C+ back in the early 90's as they say hindsight is always 20/20. FWIW the MkIV is one of the best values in used amps that I have found. Get one as soon as you can.
