Apart from the big recto cabinet of course!

I'm not a metal player, but needed a metal sound for a song I'm working on. Looked around a lot, but most of the metal pedals sounded ugly to my ears. The closest approximation I found is the new damage control solid metal pedal. Now my little Lonestar sounds positively nasty, but keeps its note separation even with everything wound up. I've even started palm muting! I think that's what I'm doing anyway...:D

I know there's no substitute for a big recto, but for us non-metal guys who need it occasionally this seems to work well.

Plus its fire-engine red and the tubes change colour when you stomp on it (which of course makes it sound better).

Cool. I was wondering about these pedals actually, not for my recto but for practicing at home. Any way you can get any clips up of it?

I use my OCD into a Keeley Fuzz Head to get over the top raunch - but it's nice to hear a good review on those pedals. They sure do look pretty. ;)

They've got some decent clips on their website - they used a clean rectifier for the samples, which is cheating a bit if you ask me, but my little amp sounds quite close to what they are getting. A big difference is the cabinet, but I'm using a cab simulator to do the same thing for recording so it sounds close to me at non-painful volumes.

I wouldn't call it pretty exactly, but it certainly is chunky.
