Apart from the big recto cabinet of course!
I'm not a metal player, but needed a metal sound for a song I'm working on. Looked around a lot, but most of the metal pedals sounded ugly to my ears. The closest approximation I found is the new damage control solid metal pedal. Now my little Lonestar sounds positively nasty, but keeps its note separation even with everything wound up. I've even started palm muting! I think that's what I'm doing anyway...
I know there's no substitute for a big recto, but for us non-metal guys who need it occasionally this seems to work well.
Plus its fire-engine red and the tubes change colour when you stomp on it (which of course makes it sound better).
