all great points made in this thread so far. i'm just surprised that nobody brought up the point that companies are also making things crappier because now they can sell you the same product over and over again instead of just once every decade or two.
either way, i'm glad i work in a small computer shop instead of for a large corporation, but unfortunately most of the products we use are from other countries.
