Hi guys!
Just picked up my Lonestar Special from repair.
Cathode resistor was replaced and power tubes were replaced.
Came home and now it works only on the 30watt setting.
15 and 5 are dead silent. I know I should have tested the amp before
I went home.
Now I am seriously ticked off! Can't the repair dude test the rig
in all configurations?!
Anyone got an idea what the problem now is?
Cheers,
C.J.

Yes, most likely the rectifier tube has failed. Seems to happen a lot. There is a mod (use the search function here) to help prevent this happening. The mod should have been applied to later models (serial numbers over 4000 I think). Having said all that my LSS is old, Sn <1000 does not have the mod and has never blown a rectifier tube. I recommend you source an NOS (new old stock) tube as they will be far more robust than a new production tube.

You should probably check that the rectifier tube is seated correctly before you do anything, maybe it just came loose in transit...
