FWIW- I just received my Barber LTD overdrive pedal- I bought it so I could essentially turn the 2 channel Stiletto into a 3 channel amp, and so far- it was definately the ticket! I wanted to throw some hair on the clean-without the mid-range hump- for slightly broken (ala volume knob on guitar)- to mild drive.
For this purpose- this pedal owns. I compared this to an AC Booster (drove 3 hours to check it out), OCD, Direct Drive (also a KILLER pedal, but more gain than I wanted).
This pedal cleans up awesome- is VERY transparent, and now, with 2 pedals, Barber has taken a larger stake on my board.
All of the pedals I tried were awesome- but FOR ME- the LTD is the cats @ss...great build and great value-

Have you guys heard about the danelectro coolcat pedals? The "transparent overdrive" is a confirmed paul c Timmy clone. The "Drive" is an OCD clone. and the "distortion is a MI Audio crunch box clone.
They all come with metal housings and jacks. All for less than $50 each. "Gearmandude" on youtube digs em too.

Take a look at the BlackStar range of HT pedals find the one that suits you best. When i'm not using my mesa, I use a BlackStar distortion in front of my peavey classic 30 and it totally rocks. There is a dual model too where you can have 2 types of distortion/overdrive in one pedal.

+1
When not using my roadster I use a 1974 fender twin with a Blackstar ht dual in front and it screams.
