Hi all,

I recently acquired a Mark 2C+ Coliseum (with EQ, straight 180 watt version). Monster amp!

Does anyone know what the purpose of the long Preamp looking tube (I think it's labeled as 6F27) is?

And, does anyone know what the value of the coupling capacitor on the Coli is? Is it the same value as the one found on the 75 watt Simulclass (with EQ) versions of the 2C+?

Any info would be appreciated...

Thanks man..

I actually just missed out on your one, on the bay. You beat be with 3 seconds to go till end of auction. I ended up being the second highest bidder and was broken! Hey, I too watch that Luke instructional vid from time to time!

But hey, it all worked out fine!

My one's a straight 180 watt version.

I'm working on taking pics of it's guts.

But for now, here's some pics taken by it's former owner (hopefully they upload ok, as I don't upload pics too often! If not, try this web page: http://s569.photobucket.com/albums/ss132/denradical/?action=view&current=2ccolesium003.jpg):

I wondered for a long time who was the other bidder. You're not missing out on a whole lot since you got one also and probably saved some money, too...The amp is stock inside except for a small mod where you can footswitch the amp into standby. Other than that, it's a 180watt 6L6 monster like yours. No simul-class. I've only ever seen one of those.
