Hi....just got myself a Lonestar 1x12 in Bronco Blue with the 100/50 watt selection....what type of Lonestar is this, is it Classic etc, etc???..new to this amp which sounds incredible!
That's a Classic. If it doesn't have the 10 watt option then it's one of the earlier versions, which are supposed to be more desirable. Congrats on the new amp :mrgreen:paul461 said:Hi....just got myself a Lonestar 1x12 in Bronco Blue with the 100/50 watt selection....what type of Lonestar is this, is it Classic etc, etc???..new to this amp which sounds incredible!

Don't use EL34s unless you have a very good tech, or access to Mesa. I did in mine - they ran so hot, they melted the plate resistors. Tech replaced with larger resistors - bad idea - ran so hot, the solder melted and the resistors fell out!
Advice from Mesa was "Use 6L6 power tubes."
Other than that - great amp. Love mine.
