All the switches on this amp make a DINK noise when flipped. I switched out the power tubes with a brand new matched quad of 6L6s and those were not the culprit for the microphonics.

So I checked the pre amp tubes and they are whats causing the microphonics. I only have one extra preamp tube, but I cant pinpoint which tube is making the microphonics. It almost seems like they all contribute to it because it gets slightly better no matter what socket i switch out.

Any thoughts?

it's 2 tubes ?? you are following the correct process ... switch each one out and see if it gets better. if you can ... try to notice which sockets improve the most.

this is why i have more than one spare. keep us posted.

With the amp operating, just tap lightly on the tube. I use a soft eraser. If you hear that tapping through the speaker then that tube is bad.
