The amp really doesn't play as much a part in Hammet's sound as one would think.

You can use any amp, just make sure you have a wah before the amp,, two in the loop, one hard wired in the preamp and of course, you will need one in the power section as well and the last one goes between the amp and the cab.

That should do it.
