Celestion 90 (C90) Black Shadow 12" speaker - 90 watts, 8 ohms

It is currently in my thiele cab, but would like to sell it and get an EV instead.

$75 shipped or make an offer...

I'll give you tree fiddy  :D

And by the way, shouldn't you be updating your signature   :D

Can someone help me figure out how to best ship a speaker? I'm assuming with the speaker facing up and markings on the box indicating which direction should face up on the box? How about packing? Any help would be great! The speaker is going to Chile, so it needs to be superb packing...

Double-box it. Put it in a box that fits it pretty tightly, then put that box inside another with at least an inch of packing all around. 1" foam insulation board works well, but anything that isolates it will work (don't use foam peanuts, they shift around).

Don't bother marking on the box, machines can't read and humans don't care.

Haha, I'd imagine the shipping label doesn't protect it from much. Thanks for the help guys. Any final thoughts before i start gathering supplies?

Online retail sites just double box them:

- Speaker face down in OEM sized box with paper on top to keep it from moving around.
- Placed in a shipping box matching in size or fill with paper to keep it from moving around.

Whole paper is better than peanuts for the clean up factor. Shredded paper makes a big mess.

sounds like double boxed is the way to go... I've got an EV speaker coming to replace the C90 and i'll see how they packed it. If it is in one box and packed well, i'll find another and place it inside...

BTW, thanks for your patience, Nicholas!
