I agree - the BFR is my dream guitar if ever there was one. My tobacco burst BFR just kills!!! I smile everytime I open the case and get a wiff of that new guitar smell.... Don't get me started on the first chord!

I would love to own a PRS again though. I had an '05 CE22, but the 22's have a wide fat neck and I wanted a wide thin - didn't know the 24's had that neck. I also didn't care much for the Dragon II pickups - wanted the HFS/Vintage Bass pups but didn't know the 24's came with those. Had I done a bit more research i'd prob still have a PRS. I'll get one again eventually! Beautiful guitars...

yeah the difference between any prs 22 and 24 is night and day as far as feel and tone. i would never own a 22 but the 24s are killer (still second to ebmm btw)

short answer: petrucci guitar

My dad has a custom 24 and its a nice guitar. its very versatile and has a nice feel to it. its a nice all around guitar in the sense its a little bit of a metal guitar, a little rock, a little blues, a little jazz etc. its a nice guitar no doubt!

I played a petrucci model in guitar centerand it was really cool. its got more bells and whistles than the custom 24 but is really suited for dream theater stuff (hmm i wonder why?) the piezo option IMO is super cool and i could def find uses for it.

id say the petrucci because its built for a metal musician and the extra options are always nice. i might be biased because i love dream theater but then again my dad owns a PRS custom 24. i guess if you really like the custom 24 buy an SE model and put awesome pickups in it. i have a PRS santana se and i like it more than my dads 24!
