I was experimenting with some different speakers and decided to try the Jensen Neodymium 12" speaker in my '81, 60w Mk IIB. First of all the amp is nearly as loud as it was with the EV12L but weighs about 16 lbs less! I really like the EV12L but this Jensen sounds really good. It has a nice character to it. The clean sounds are warm and detailed with tight bottom and the Lead sound has a nice vintage sound to it also being warm with tight bottom. I was surprised with the results. I think I am going to try a second one in my 1x12 open back extension cab with it. Anyone using the Jensen neo 12"?

I have used the Jensen Neo's in a couple of Twin Reverbs for customer's.
The first one was done to reduce weight. The second one was done after a pro customer played on the first amp and was impressed.
I was also impressed. The Neo seemed a bit warmer than a C12N and pleased me almost as much as the EV's. I had the good fortune to have all of those speakers in Fender 2X12's available for comparison. I had a TR with Altec Lansing Alnico's that was my favorite of all of the choices. The Neo's versus the Altec's shaved 17 lbs off of a TR's weight.
