Greetings. I've got a Mark IIB with the EVM12L. Couldn't sound better, but would be happy with a few pounds lost.

I've heard great things about the Jensen Neo and Weber Ceramics. Jensen would lose 15 lbs off the amp...Weber: 8. I'd rather get the Jensen for that one reason, but the sound has to be right. I play lots of styles, so I need a speaker that's very clean but can handle distortion very well (I got a great mod on the lead channel of the amp).

Anybody have experience with either of these speakers?

Thanks for your time.

Are you talking about the Weber Michigan? Or just any of the Webers?

The few webers ive heard were great. Ive never seen a bad review. Made in the USA. I like the way they run their business too.
Next time im shoppin for speakers it will be from weber or WGS. Im not buying from celestion anymore and EV is too expensive.

Also weber makes a Jensen type speaker too
Their Neo is a JBL type i believe. Probably a E120 type with an aluminum dust cap

It's a blue ceramic 12" Weber that I was told about.

I've heard nothing but great things about them. The thing is that I'd be losing 15 lbs with the Jensens and 8 with the Webers. There's a pretty strong part of me that feels like I might just stay with the EV I have if the Jensen doesn't do it. 8 lbs doesn't seem like much and the EV's great. Besides: I was helping my brother move his Peavey TNT bass combo amp the other night and wondering why I was complaining, anyway...

I have a Jensen Neo sitting in box that I haven't used with my D.R. yet. I'll try it out and compare it to the Black Shadow and the Eminence Legends and give you my opinion...

Cool. Thanks. Im curious about both clean and dirty...

Much appreciated.
