Howdy Folks,

Question--I have an old Marshall JCM 800 1960 cab loaded with the G12T-75s. Very nice sounding cab--sometimes maybe a little too 'thin' sounding for me, though. I'm seriously considering selling it because I have an offer for an Orange PPC412 (HP-8) which has G12K-100'S ---8 Ohm 400 Watts (mono), 16 Ohm 200 Watts (stereo).

I have a few of the older Mark III Boogies that I play through the Marshall--but wondering how the sound change through the Orange will be. Am I taking a step forward or one step back? Any help is much appreciated in advace. Thanks!

I used to have a 1960 cab with the G12T-75's and I thought the same thing you said about them. They were a little thin.

I now have an Avatar cab with the G12K100's and Vintage 30's. I definitely like the G12K100's more than the 75's. They have a similar feel but without that thin harsh sound.
